The Drill Hall presents

till the fat lady sings

Till The Fat Lady Sings is both one-woman show and musical feast. The idea is that we have a library of songs in our heads - part pop, part folk, part classical - our personal library, sometimes just the chorus of a song, or maybe just the first two lines, 'til the fat lady sings (it ain't over).

Singer-actress Marie Angel traces the story of her life from outback Australia to many of the world's major opera houses... and her library of songs is richer than most, stretching from Piaf to Puccini, The Beatles to Brahms and back again via Duke Ellington and some of the operatic divas that she has made her own.

Till The Fat Lady Sings pays tribute to the songs which have accompanied Marie through her life: "Other people's songs have allowed me to sing what I found too difficult to say"
