A (short) evening of poems to lift the spirits and settle old scores. What more could the discerning, sophisticated intelligentsia want?
Debby Klein returns to The Drill Hall after an absence too long to mention in polite company.
Those old enough to remember such quaint notions as Reclaim the Night marches and marriage as an oppressive heterosexual institution may vaguely remember Debby as the tall red-headed half of the cabaret duo Parker and Klein.
In the intervening years Debby has had an eclectic career ranging from management consultant to mental patient.
She has also been writing a plethora of prose, poetry, maudlin diary entries and bullet points on the strategic significance of conducting Equality Impact Assessments in local government.
Following the success of 2008's performance with fellow poet Bernard Kelly of Very Tired. Hope Death is Restful, she brings to Drill Hall 2 For Sale. Baby Shoes. Never Worn.
A short evening of poetry: reflecting on the creative potential inherent in insanity, failure and innumerable bottles of red wine.
