Over the past three years they have presented their own stories under the title Talking Dirty, three magnificent evenings of their own coming-out stories from the 50s, 60s and 70s; a performance of Any Woman Can by Jill Posener (Gay Sweatshop's first lesbian play written in 1975) and two specially commissioned romps - Take Me Back To Lesbos and It's Christmas, Carole! by Giselle Johnson.

They have worked with a number of guest tutors including Stella Duffy, Angela Clerkin, Jude Alderson and Claire Dowie.

The Darlings are not professional performers, but do everything they can to be splendid at what they do.

For many of them being part of The Troupe has become a key part of their social life.

The Darlings are an extraordinary group, telling stories of their lives and sharing lesbian heritage.

The work they make is enormously moving and often very funny.

It is one of the things we are most proud of at The Drill Hall.
